Life lately…. as told by my iPhone.
The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. First off, we hosted a bachelorette party for one of my sweetest friends, Dentyne. SOOOO much planning went in to making this weekend perfect and it was a blast! We wanted the bride-to-be to feel spoiled rotten because she totally deserves it.
^^ We deemed the party a “flamingle” and everything turned out so cute. Think lots of gold sequins, palm print, pineapples, hot pink, and flamingos! I’ll be sharing a full post with all the party details later this month. So. Much. Fun
^^ Bride tribe tattoos. We affectionately called ourselves the bride tribe all weekend.
^^ The calm before the storm 😉
^^ The bride herself. She was made for this job! Pretty much a barbie doll and THE SWEETEST person you’ll ever meet.
^^ The view from our room on Saturday night. This little Island of ours never gets old. If you’re planning a beach vacation – Omni Amelia Island Plantation is the place to be! If for some reason you get bored of the gorgeous pools or the beach, there’s plenty to see, eat, and do. In the past five years they’ve added a ton of activities and there’s really something for everyone. And if you have any questions, shoot me an email!
^^ Sunday morning brunch with the girls downtown. We chose Bright Mornings for the occasion and it did not disappoint. Never does. The perfect way to end a fabulous weekend!
^^ The Tuesday after we hosted the bachelorette party, we used the leftover party decorations to throw my little sister a going away party. She’s off to FSU for her second year! Can’t wait to go visit the little lady. We’ve loved entertaining in the new house even though it’s still a work in progress and nowhere near complete. Please note the expression on my little brothers face. He did that in ALL of our wedding photos. WHY?!?!
^^ After a week of straight nothing (to re-coop from all the festivities and you know… clean our house) we had a super fun date night downtown. Of course we kicked the evening off with wine and charcuterie at the Patio Place. Such a yummy treat before starting Whole 30. We’re pretty much regulars haha. If you’re local, you absolutely must try it out. Prices are decent and the “vibe” is exactly what we needed around here. They also have live entertainment outside (can’t remember which nights) which is always a plus.
^^ Sunday I spent some time on my favorite beach to prepare for the busy week ahead. Ridiculously thankful we get to call this place home. It’s so funny because I remember HATING the beach when I was little – loved the pool but couldn’t stand getting all sandy. Now I can’t imagine living inland.
^^ As of yesterday, there’s a hurricane here and Pearce’s school was canceled so we’ll be stuck inside all weekend trying to clean up the hurricane that is our bedroom (and the office, guest room, living room, garage). The mess is real, y’all. Doesn’t look like a labor day spent on the beach will be in the books for us. Oh well. Hopefully the power stays on all day!
FL, GA, & SC friends – stay safe this weekend!
