Howdy, friends. Hope y’all had the best of weeks. I’m in the middle of prepping for my girl, Catie’s bridal shower that I’m hosting tomorrow morning – and by that I mean, trying not to eat all of the delicious foods we’ll be serving, prior to our guests arrival. The struggle is real. Ps. I promise one of these days I’ll get my Friday post up at a normal hour!
one // better than flowers
I stumbled upon Pinatagrams a few months ago and couldn’t get over how stinkin’ adorable these were. Sometimes flowers just aren’t fitting for the occasion, sometimes you need to send your friend and ACUTAL PINATA filled with candy goodness. I’m so obsessed with this idea and hope these are the next big thing. You can add a message to your friend (see below) and the absolute best part is that it arrives just as you see it. No box. Just a pinata on a doorstep. Brilliant. Y’all go check these out immediately and send them to everyone you know! Ps. No one paid me to say this, I’m a real fan.
two // lunch date
One of my favorite things to do with P is to checkout local restaurants and #EatAllTheThings. Sunday after church P took me to a Jacksonville classic, European Street. It’s yummy. Like realllll yummy. We started off with brie + pretzel bread (OHHH EMMM GEEE) and I was hooked. Will definitely be making visits to European Street a regular thing.
three // beach days
Later that afternoon I met up with my mom, nana lady, and aunt candice for a few hours while Pearce played disc golf. It’s still in the 80’s-90’s these days so beach days are still happening. #LoveWhereYouLive. You can find my stadium cup here and my cooler (which I highly recommend) here. Might have to make Sunday beach days a weekly thing – who needs groceries and clean laundry?!
four // girls night
Last night I went out with my “aunts” (they’re not technically my aunts but they pretty much are, so there’s that) for dinner at Cafe Karibo. Karibo’s Shrimp & Grits are killer. And the sangria’s not so bad either! If you’re ever in FB be sure to stop in, even if it’s only for an appetizer. I wore this dress (that’s only $13.99!) and loved it. My little brother however, asked if I was wearing a tablecloth. Boys…
five // self tanner
I had a friend ask about my self tanner last week and figured I’d share my favorite with y’all. I’ve tried a billion and the price point and quality of this one was exactly what I needed. You can find it here. I don’t wear it all the time, usually just in preparation for special occasions. A few tips: wash your hands immediately after use, use enough lotion so that you can apply it evenly, apply normal lotion in between uses to keep the color.
Linking up with the five on friday girls!
